Plasma Collection Ccontainers

For more than 20 years, we have been manufacturing collection containers in the form of bottles and bags for so-called "source plasma", blood plasma for industrial fractionation. This is how important medicines, such as immunoglobulins, coagulation factors and many more, are obtained from it.

The 1 L HDPE bottles offer optimal protection of the tube ends during freezing with a special twist mechanism on the lid. An integrated Holdex adapter allows easy sampling. Saline is supplied via a tube with spike or luer connector. A self-sealing filter provides the necessary pendulum air during filling and prevents plasma leakage during sampling.

Our standard product is the round collection bottle. However, rectangular bottles can also be produced on request. Due to the smaller bottle cross-section, these enable a reduction of freezing times by approx. 50% and 15-20% less storage capacity is required.

Our 1 l plasma collection bags can be produced with the same tube configurations as the bottles. Customised configurations are also possible. The bag material is made from a specially extruded, highly durable PVC tubular film. The satinised inner surface of the tubing prevents the inner walls from sticking together and ensures easy filling during use.

Round Bottle

A self-sealing filter provides for the required ventilation during the filling process, thus preventing a discharge of plasma during sampling. The patented innovative screw cap offers optimum protection for the welded-off tube ends that are highly sensitive after freezing. When the cap is turned the tube is pulled inward, so it can not be touched mechanically.

The rectangular bottle that also has a self-sealing filter and a screw cap offers two additional advantages: Freezing times are reduced by approx. 50% because of the reduced cross-section of the bottle and required storage capacities are reduced by 15-20%.

Bags

Our 1000ml plasma collection bags are made of a specially extruded, highly resilient PVC tubular foil. The inner surface of the tube is calendered directly after the extrusion process. This thermally roughened surface keeps the inner walls from sticking together, thus ensuring a smooth filling during the application.

The use of a tubular foil offers two additional essential advantages: A tubular foil has no side seams – a risk of leakage due to the welding process is thus reduced to a minimum. This also reduces particle contamination during the manufacturing of the bags.
